Salina Nature Reserve, managed by BirdLife Malta, is a protected coastal wetland on the Salina Coast Road near Naxxar, combining historic saltpans with a habitat for wading birds and waterfowl. The reserve attracts gulls, terns, herons, egrets, and seasonal visitors, and offers walking paths and viewing areas. Entry is free and the reserve is open daily from early morning.
